Masd. Maui Prince
This is a Komoda temperature tolerant Masdie. It's a sequential bloomer and always seems to be in bloom. The flower is large, and the tails are quite long.

Terri,
A very nice bloom! I have several of Ivan's temp tolerant Masdies too and they are all doing fine . . . he sells great plants. I'm about to post a pic of my Maui Holiday on OB.

I like it. You always post such pretty Masdas.
I would love to send an order to Komoda Orchids but I'm so afraid it would freeze before it got here. He has a cymbidium which I really want, Cymb 'Nut'. I don't want it to freeze in transit but I'm not sure I can wait until spring...........long wait.

I just looked at your gallery again, Terri. You really have a very healthy-looking collection of Masdies. I was wondering what are your high temperatures in the Summer?

Maria, the outdoor summer temps here in southern Oregon are normally in the high 90's to low 100's. Since I grow in the house the AC keeps the grow area in the 80's. I can tell they get stressed if I don't keep up with the watering. They also don't bloom as much in the summer. Come fall when the temps drop they all go nuts and start blooming like crazy.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.
Marilyn, hang on for spring. Ivan's plants are worth the wait for sure.

Beautiful flower Terri!
How are you growing you plants? My wife recently became enamoured with Masdes and I scored my first plant, a Masde. cosmia, at my local orchid society door prize last month. It's doing okay but I want to make sure I don't kill it. Especially since I see us getting more in the future.
I see a house filled with Neos and Masdes in our future.
Cheers.
Jim
