Recently acquired a M. Veitchiana which I thought was doing well. There are lots of new growths and leaves look ok. There was also what looked like a flower spike. It was growing well but now has collapsed, almost folding in half.
We have had fairly wet and humid conditions and not too hot.
Any idea what could/would cause this? Would a photo help?
I've had this species and other Masdevallias abort spikes in response to a change of environment. You mentioned that this was new - perhaps the move is the cause.
