Lepanthes Calodactyon
I ordered this plant from ecuagenera and will pick it up at the montreal show on oct 24th. I plann on mounting it in my vivarium on tree fern, but just want to make sure my application is appropriate, since its such a rare plant to find.
If anyone has tips regarding mounting, lighting, temps, humidity etc please let me know!
Thanks

Thanks, that was really helpful. So how should I go about mounting it?

It may be easy for you but not for others. Do you grow this one? Can we see a photo of it?

BS! How do you want me to read it? You gave out some growing tips but you also wanted to look down the person who asked the question. That is what I would call "vicious".
I don't care what you have grown or killed. Don't even bother to waste your time to impress me either.
What is the "King of orchid growing"? Did you give yourself that title? Are you saying you are the best grower in the world? Don't be so full of yourself!

Hey! Hey! Hey! What's all this hostility?
Now Tom, I have had my issues with King too, and even called him on it once, but I just don't see what was so upsetting about his first 2 replies. I saw them as sincere advice and well-wishing.
King, I was going to say that I didn't see what was so vicious about Tom's first reply, but after his second reply it is hard to defend him. Initially I assumed it was an innocent question. Requests like that aren't uncommon on OB, though they're usually worded a little less bluntly and more politely. That said, you do have a tendency to appear a bit arrogant. This is my personal impression and I haven't even noticed it for weeks now. You seem to have changed your approach somewhat and I have noticed the improvement.
Remember, if you have a problem with someone on the OB, it is best to keep personal issues personal and avoid that individual. Now can we please all get a drink and cool off and return to what we're here for, namely admiring each other's orchids and HELPING each other?
And remember....

D-Prime, no matter what others said before, as many ofthese inputs were deleted... here my experience with this species... I grow it on tree fern in my vivarium, at low light (down in a corner protected from light by a large gastrochillus!) and under constant moisture, and it just grows and bloom freely... as King of Orchids said (seen in a quotation) a very easy species (given the needed conditions).
so, I think you are going on the right path, with your plan: tree fern, vivarium, high humidity (and I mean VERY HIGH!)
