chaparensis 'Rip-Hoff'
Wow ! what a beauty this one turned out to be. About 23 or so leaves in a 4 inch pot with 5 spikes. I didnt think i was gonna like the spots and speckles on this one, but i have to admit that seeing the actual plant here in blooom has made me change my mind! Best of all this one was a real steal at 11.50!!!! Cant beat that with a tree fern stick!!!

Hi Scott...great 'chid!
Could you teach me a little about it? What conditions does it need to grow like yours?

I love it! The spots are a nice change, and the color is so intense! Great buy!

Hi Susanne, chaparensis is a Bolivian species. It really likes to be kept on the cool end of things. Day temps should be no more than 75 with nights of about 55 to 60.Right now those temps are not a problem for me here in Minnesota at the moment. Ill have to see what it will do with our summers here. Might have to set up a growing area in the basement.

well tindomul, it has quadrupled in size and could be moved into a 6 inch pot with no problems.
