Default Masdevallia Machu Pichu 'JV'

Stunning flower, when it first opens it has a velvet purple colour which gradually gets lighter. It's hard to capture the colour properly even with a good camera.

It flowers well every year and now has a second bloom as well, it would really be something to get a whole lot of flowers on it open at once. Maybe next year! I love it. One of the best Machu Pichu's around.

DH bought me one of those a few months back. I was already looking forward to seeing it bloom. After seeing your pictures, I can hardly wait! I love masdies.

My house is warm too. However, I have one window that is just flat cold. It is on the northeast. Most masdies like that window. Machu seems to and Peach Fuzz blooms regularly. Ted Khoe, on the other hand, just sulks. Perhaps I should repot him. Carol
