Masdevallia herrudaurae - Orchid Board

First bloom for this guy! I've had it for about a year, and it surprised me last week with more than a dozen buds, almost all of which are now open. Individual flower size is about 2" from tail tip to tail tip. They kinda look like little purple spiders.

Very nice! For it to have so many buds, it must like what you're doing! Good growing.

Just thought this might be worth mentioning, since the Masdevalllia genus was broken up a couple years ago, this one is now actually called Acinopetala herradurae.

Good grief. I just saw the other post as well about all the Masdie name changes. Gotta change some tags soon I guess. My head hurts.
