Trichosalpinx chamae lepanthes

Hi All,
So i just got a nice healthy specimen of Trichosalpinx chamaelepanthes. I've done some looking around, not that much info on this particular species, but from what I see from everything else in it's genus, it likes medium shaded to low light, intermediate temps, high humidity and shouldn't be allowed to dry. Also light on the fertilizer...

Anyone who keeps these chids feel free to chime in and inform me on any tidbits you think i should know about. Thanks. I really appreciate input.

That is about right. Nice species.

What color is yours?

It's a nice burgundy/purple color. It's a nice looking plant, crazy amount of roots. To be honest I didn't know it was a pleurothallid til I looked up the name on here and it popped up in the pleurothallid alliance.

That is good! I have the purple and the white varieties, but they don't seem to have a lot of roots and the roots are very fine.

When you get a chance, would you please show me a photo of your plant.

Years ago I purchased a Trichosalpinx orbicularis, and it's been a great bloomer. Like you described for your species, it takes shade, high humidity, intermediate/warm temps, and no dormancy. It stays in bloom for months at a time with new flushes of tiny flowers - a very happy mini!
