Default Masdevallia sprucei

Charming little flowers! This temperature tolerant species occurs in Brazil and also south Venezuela. The plant is very short, only 2" high and the golden flowers 0.6" across, not including the tails.

temperature tolerant you say? hmmm
I want to give masdies a try - but am a bit scared of them lol
maybe this is one to try ?

You see, this Masdie and also M. norae are from the Brazilian Amazon region... so, I believe you could give them a try!

I love it! I am always dissapointed to fine Masdie's that I like but can't grow them because they are usually cool growers. I'll have to keep my eye out for this one! I have one NOID masdie and it seems to be doing well with my low humidity on an east window sill and another species due to arrive today! Yippee!

That is beautiful! I love the colours and the thought of it being temperature tolerant makes it all the better.
