I have to say I love love loveeeeeeeee orchids. If there is a god, he certainly did some work on these organisms.
I just wanted to ask and I hate to sound like a newb, but how do you get your plants to stay so small in terms of vegitative growth? Is it just a function of root space? I know nothing of this but after seeing your set up, I think I am going to get this going for myself. I would feel wonderful and proud to be able to grow and bloom my own orchid plants every year especially if its one of each species the way you do it.
I love the use of the fogger and the computer fan. I have seen those foggers before and I have to say they are a fantastic piece of technology of which im sure the resources havent even been tapped. Cool stuff in concept :P Way to go
Let me know
Thanks all.

Most orchids belonging to the Pleurothallis Alliance range from being micro-miniatures, miniatures, small sized plants, medium sized plants, large sized plants, x-large sized plants, to outright giants.
It depends on the species, not the root mass.
In fact, do not cut down the size of the root mass because you think the roots are getting unruly or has the ability to keep the vegetation to a minimum. You'll severely weaken the plant instead.
