Wow, Mateo! Fabulous photos of a real beauty. I have tried on several occassions to capture the blue/purple hairs that these orange Masdies frequently have. I've never been as successful as you have - especially that first 'detail' shot. Fantastic!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

Identified as Masd. 'Prince Charming' (Bronze/gold).

As for the pictures...I use the macro setting on my 4 year old Minolta point and shoot; it's been a great little camera!

Thanks, I like it a lot too!
I have it sitting in a kitchen bay window that gets no direct light, temperatures 55-65 all the time. It is a very slow grower, I'm not getting much foliage and only 1 flower at a time. Also, it has a hinged 'tongue' FWIW.
I have no idea where I bought it...

How do you keep your temperatures so cool?
Very nice pics of a great looking Masdie! Do you have sufficient humidity? Could that be why its not producing much foliage?

The windowbox they are in is tile lined and receives almost no light...and it is "winter" here.

I'm moving it to a more humid and slightly warmer location...hoping for more growth.
