My order arrived yesterday too. I just got done repotting them. These plants are awesome! I ordered 3 plants; 2 of them were in bloom and spiking, and all of them have new growth. I took a few pictures before repotting, but I haven't downloaded them from my camera yet. I'll post them here as soon as I do.

Here's what I got:
Ghost Busters
Ken Dole (1 bloom and 1 spike)
Maui Holiday (2 blooms and multiple spikes)

The Ghost Busters is the one I was most excited about, but I think I'm in love with the Maui Holiday. Of course....the Ghost Busters isn't blooming yet.

Hopefully they will do well for me and stay happy.

I still haven't heard back from Ivan as to his mix, but I suspect that is one of the secrets to the great growth.

I was actually surprised by his mix. I'd heard that he uses bark, but it looked like he had fertilizer beads in there (among many other things). I thought fertilizer beads were a huge no no with tropical plants. And I know that Masdies in particular can be sensitive to fertilizer. It obviously works for him though. That just proves that there aren't any set rules when it comes to potting mixes, you just have to do what works for you. I hated repotting them because they looked so happy in their mix, but I just can't do bark mixes with Pleuros.

I ended up ordering 3; Redwing 'Rolfe' x princeps, Maui Prince, and princeps x sib. I was going to get the Maui Holiday too, but decided I didn't want another yellow one and I'm not that fond of the tubular flowers. I prefer the more open look. I'm really curious to see what the Redwing cross is going to look like. I hope it shows a lot of the Redwing coloration. Haven't told my other half they're coming yet.

Terri, Don't you have the same type climate we have? Will they ship if it's cold? I'm so sad that I can't order anything. No one will ship here.
I'm so happy for all of you who can take advantage of this opportunity, though.

Kiki the plants don't have as far to go to get here. It's only 5-6 hrs by plane from the islands, and FedEx usually delivers the next day. It's been in the 40s during the day the last week or so, and they are calling for more sun and warmer temps next week. I think Ivan is shipping mine on Monday. Some friends of ours were on the Big Island at the same time we were in Kauai. They bought and shipped me a very nice standard Cattleya before they left. It was a little cold then and the buds blasted, but the plant looks like it's doing fine. Masdies should be perfectly happy with cool temps. I'm not worried.
