Masd. glandulosa
This is another favorite of mine. It smells very strongly of cloves and is named for the prominent purple glands on the inside of the flower.
Here's a second picture showing a closeup of the flower: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ndulosa_3_.jpg

Ron,
Another terrific Masdevallia! I admire all of them that you post, you seem to really have the touch with your Masdies. I'd love to do more with them, but have to stick with the W-I varieties. Well, at least I can enjoy yours. Please keep posting them!
btw, good photography too.

Really nice, Ron!
I'm assuming it's a cool grower?

Neat one, Ron. And clove is a great smell, isn't it.

I'm not very good at identifying smells, but this one is unmistakable and I find it intoxicating.

Ron, will this tolerate lower humidity, like 35-45%? Really nice photos and I like the flowers a lot.

I'm not sure, Ross. My humidity rarely goes lower than 50%.
