Quito is at 2800 m over sea level.... very high!!! This Masdie can grow from 1400-2200 m "orchidspecies" My orchids are outdoors.... In Quito we have not 4 seasons...
The nights with 10-13ºC and during the day 15-23ºC here is not so extrem!!!

Wow, you have a very small range of temps that are very comfortable. Very equitable! Thanks for sharing that info! There must be lots of native orchids in your back yard!!!!

YES!!!
From Quito in about 2 hours by car you can find the orchids in the cloud forest... is about 2000-2400 m over sea level... But it's a problem with the wood traffic and the farmers.... they cut the primary forest and lots of orchid species will die...
