Default mounting a Masdevallia

This is the first time i have mounted a masdevallia. I took the floribunda var. tuerkemii and attached it to a cork mount. I also put some live moss around the roots in hopes that this would keep it moist enough. Only time will tell. I hope i did a good job of it. Any instructions on helping it adjust to the new mount?

I think it looks fantastic! You don't really need a lot of the Java moss to seed a mount. But that looks great. Nice job.

Java moss just seems to appear for most of us. If you can't get it established, let me know and I will send you a start.

I've read that it likes lower light which wouldn't work for what I'll be putting together

Thanks for the offer, though

Just remember to keep it well ventilated. I killed an M. floribunda wrapping it up in moss. Root rot. hehe.

I have a couple M floribunda and I was worrying about root rot too. They are in plastic pots now with some of that moss, but I worry that they are staying too wet. Living in south Florida is going to be difficult for them. Do you think mounting them could help?
