Wow, THANX for the replies!!!
I collect rainwater...in quantities enough to keep my horsefarm well-free,(of course except for my house, LOL!), so water quality is never an issue.
I even trap rain water from the house roof for all the plants.
I've started keeping my pleuros and restreps inside wide-topped glass vases that have a layer of river stone in the bottom and a couple inches of water in there.
It's interesting to me that many of the fert. manufacturers put to wet the foliage as well on the instructions; I never have really understood it either.
I'm also big on the very weak fertilizer solution each week too.
I'm kind of intrigued by the whole vanda in a vase dealie- and I am trying variations on that to suit other varieties too.
Thanx again!
