Well this is my second attempt at using a microscope for a miniature flower picture. The old name before Luer changed it was Pleurothallis alata. It is a very small plant in a 2" clay pot. The first photo is using my old Sony mavica the second and third is using a microscope imager. I don't know about the rest of you, but it is going to take me 20 years to get use to all the new names. Do you suppose the Taxonimists will hold off of making changes for that length of time? This plant in flower resembles small misquitos in flight hovering over small leaves.
