Default Masdevallia Reggae 'Faint Stripe'

This one is a larger plant, has some nice colour despite the shape not being optimal. I must admit this one has suffered over winter and I'm not sure why, the foliage is looking very poor compared to my other Massies. Anyway it has two other flowers but I thought this was the pick.

A nice colour with the added bonus of a stripe,it looks as if it has had a bit to much light, is it closer to a light source than your others? the shape is ok, as some of the longer flowers on other cross's tend to curl. Give it a bit of T.L.C such as a leaf shine, and check under the leaves for any unwanted visitors.

I'm liking the reds more than the yellows. Nice flower!

It's been getting the right amount of light I think. The shape isn't great but it's a pretty colour and that's the reason I keep it.

I think the striping comes from yungasensis in the parentage.

That's a real beauty! I suppose it's a cool grower like all the best Masdies though. I guess I'll just have to enjoy yours through your board post, since I can't grow cool.

But . . . if it's "Reggae", maybe it should be Red Stripe instead of Faint stripe. (That's a Jamaican beer for those who don't know).
