Pleurothallis tribloides
Fantasy Orchids 08.15.08
Erin Pottery

Just potted up. . .

The blooms are TINY. . .maybe 1/4". Sorry this is as close as I was able to get with my camera lens, hope you can see how strange and interesting these little blooms are and that they're bright red-orange!

Just what do you have it potted in? I have one that is constantly blooming, but I have been almost afraid to repot it because I am almost afraid it will die. I have had the plant for almost ten years and it has been repotted once. Hope I have not done something wrong, but it keeps blooming.

Thanks so much, all! The pot is another great one from Erin Pottery! This is a tiny plant. That pot is only about 3" wide at the most!

This is a new one orchid for me, so I can't take credit for the blooms! This one was in sphagnum, so I just added more to fit the pot. The roots looked all happy and plump, so I tried not to disturb them too much.

I wouldn't be afraid to repot it, Gregg. It didn't react at all to the repotting. Just be super gentle. . .the roots look really delicate. Oh, and when I transplant, I make up a gallon batch of RO water, with a 1/2 measure of MSU fertilizer and a capfull of KLN rooting hormone.

I'd love to see one that was ten years old!! Bet it's huge!
