Default Masdevallia Tovarensis

After reading various posts on how hard some people find this species is to grow, I would like to add my cents worth of knowledge. From the coastal mountains of Venezuela the species prefers a damp, not wet media with a lot of air movement and the odd misting during the warmest part of the day, they don't take kindly to to much heat.
Mine grows in damp spaghnum packed quite tight in a 100mm pot, I have devided it several times and the supplied photo is a 1year old division, it tolerates quite low tempertures down to 2-4c and in summer I move it to the coolest part of the shade house, I would think they would be almost impossible to grow in a heated case, feed only with a weak solution of feed every other week in the blooming season. They don't need a bloom booster.
