FWIW, Wally, cooling can be pretty inexpensive. Take a look at http://www.ferrotec.com/products/the...FSeuSAodSUbICQ

I have a peltier cooling unit in my cigar humidor to keep cigars below 70F in summer.

They can be set for any temperature you desire and run from a controller thermastat. I have ploblem with too much humidity. A tank would stay pretty moist since you'd be cooling warm-humid room air. Just a thought.

rsfrid,
how well does your peltier cooler work? I have heard that they aren't very energy efficient and don't cool much (only 3-4°) below ambient room temperature. How large is your humidor? Maybe this is a different thread...

I guess I have to start thinking about a "cool" tank because I can't stand not being able to have plants that look like this one! Wow!

Now...if I disappear someday...
the husband did it

...only kidding

Maybe it'll be better to wait till after the sun room is built before I mention I need a cool room too!

I posted a few pictures in the Member Display area. I hope they help a bit. Ask away if you have questions and I will try my best to help.
