A masdie that not only didn't die but bloomed
I generally steer clear of masdies as death is usually the outcome -- my growing conditions are just too warm. (And of course the ones I REALLY love are all the cool growers like coccinea and ignea.) Figured I give this one a try for the heck of it
Masd. impostor x floribunda
A bit disappionted, truth be told. I was hoping it would have some of the richer color from impostor. Ah well, its okay. At least its blooming.

Very nice!! M. floribunda is the only one I have had that I have gotten to rebloom. I really like the color on the one you have. How do you keep it? In a terrarium?

I like the colour of your's Paul. And I agree with Tin, M. floribunda is a great and relatively accommodating plant. I have found that in general, hybrid Masdies are easier to grow and flower than the straight species. You should maybe give some more of them a try?

Paul, while I have generally stayed away from Masdie's for the same reasons, I think you did well here. I'm not really in love with the colors of this and I understand why you were disappointed, but look at the good side: you got it to bloom!

Yvan, I think Dorothy got some Masdie hybrids... I wonder if she can tell us how they are doing? I know she grows those Phals so well, her temps can't be that cool.

Well my Celtic Frost is about dead -- only a leaf or 2 to go and I've also killed off Copper Angel so even those warmth tolerant ones have not done well for me.
Oh and Tindo, yes this one is in my terr.
