Has anyone tried to grow it under lights in their home?
I don´t think is too difficult to grow, The same care that masdevallias need...

That is a pretty flower. I'd love to see a picture of Ron's with 50 blooms.

Haven't gotten around to photographing it, but need to do so and will post some photos when I do - actually a lot of the flowers still have to open.

Looking at pictures of blooming plants, I noticed their leaves are very yellow. Mine are dark, I think I will up the light to see if I can get it to bloom. I got the plant on Ebay a few years ago, you may want to put an alert out for it. The seller was "theorchidgallery" maybe you could contact them.

I know I need to broaden my horizons, but I have never ordered from e-bay and for some odd reason am nervous about it. I can't explain why as I am not to nervous ordering from a regular sight. However now that I am having better luck with my Masdies I want some others.

There are some good sellers that you can only find on Ebay. Look at feedback.

I noticed that a couple of Masdevallia species start to bloom more when it is pot bound. I probably can't generalize it since others seem to bloom without the pot-bound condition. But my M. rimarima-alba, M. melanoxantha were so tight in the pot, the roots were pushing them out of the pots. They were flowering crazy, but the leaves were starting to become paler due to nutrient deficiency (not due to root death), so I repotted into bigger pots. After that, they slowed down and started to do more vegetative growth. In this blog post, there is a photo of the root. Around this time, it was still flowering only 2-4 flowers at a time, but the root became tighter after a couple more months, and they were flowering about 8 flowers at a time.
