Make sure it stays humid. When I first got it, I was trying to keep it as a potted plant outside the terrarium. It was too dry and lost 50%+ of its leaves in a few days. It went from a rich tuft leaves, like a lawn, to a few plants here and there.

My Tala Sca is kept around 59/64 lows to 70/75 tops. I also have a humidifier on it constantly with a small fan to keep its leaves dry. The humidity stays around 69 to 80 percent. I water it occasionally, maybe once or twice a week, with distilled water and fertilize every other week. It's doing fine with a few new leaves. Just hope it will make it through the summer when the temps start rising. I can't keep the thermostat down as low as I'd like. (With it set at 78 I can keep it down to 75 or less with the humidifier/fan combo but at night, even in the desert, I don't think its going to cool down enough.) Any ideas?
