Hope everyone is fine these days!
I want to share this ..super mistake; a failure I made last week.
I went on a trip for 7 days and in a part of the growing area, the automatic light never went out, so they have been 24/7 ON. The most affected orchids are 3 mini Masdavalias and much less 2 Draculas.
I believe that due to the burns on some leaves, some sore of infection has been developed. I can cut the affected leaves but in some cases that will be 50% of the plant. Thankfully, the new growth doesn't look affected.
This is what I've done to try to solve the situation as much as possible:
1) I fumigated light with a product that is up to species and that I normally use.
2) I've reduced the lighting to an on and off schedule for 10 hrs instead of +8 hrs on nonstop.
3) I've decreased the humidity from 85-90% to 75% to avoid fungus or extra damage.
Any suggestions... Is what I am doing logical to you?
Thanks!!!!
