Masdevallia Measuresiana good recovery
I'm just here to post a success story (so far), for my Masdevallia Measuresiana. It dropped about 5 leaves in about 5 weeks, so not suddenly, but it slowly told me it wasn't ok. I was trying to convert it to semi hydro, which has been going good for a few other orchids of mine but I think this plant is too young (now I know).
Its roots were already not great and I planted it in pure sphagnum which didn't do much better. Also it didn't have enough light (yes it was that dark). I got the smallest pot I could, put leca in the bottom and sphagnum at the top, and put it at my south facing window which is cool, but has nice light at this time of the year for the UK. Now I've got loads of new growth, which I hear many stories about Masdies dropping one leaf and it was just unrecoverable since then. Obviously it isn't out of the woods but it's looking positive!
