This sure is cute; I got it at our swap in November, and this is the second time it has flowered since then (though this is a real stomper!). Somewhere over 15 inflorescences, with more growing.
The very knowledgeable -ahem- older grower collected it herself on a South American trip long ago, and said she'd grown it for years and it never would bloom. I had to tell her that it probably bloomed repeatedly, but the flowers are just too small to see!
Pretty big bang for such a little plant - it is on a big knot of grapevine.

Congrats - it's a beautiful bloomer! Mateo picked this one up from Andy's Orchids at the Santa Barbara orchid show, and I love how subtle it is. What a fun plant with those delicate little flowers.

Hi irphrog -
I'm in south Louisiana, also zone 9a, so maybe our conditions are similar. Mine is outdoors most of the time, I try to hose everything on mounts (90% of my orchids) once a day unless it's cool/overcast or it rains...which it does a lot. It seems pretty happy in the heat and humidity (though these are supposedly 'intermediate' growing), and has gone from dime-sized to biscuit-sized in pretty fast time.

Hi Nancy - Mine is in a vivarium sitting directly under my T5 fixture with the humidity between 80 and 90 and temps steady at 70...I'd be affraid to put this outside. It gets SOOOO hot here in the summer months and frequently without any air circulation....After being green with envy over the size of yours, I went down and checked mine again and noticed three new leaf nubbins!!!

Nancy, you should get more collection info from the collector. Date, and specific location, elevation etc.... I really like the foliage on this one, the flowers are a big plus! Congrats on getting it to flower.
