Macro Ring Lights/Flashes

I love my Sigma EM 140 DG ring-light for macro work which I use on my Nikon D-70 with a 105mm micro nikkor. Most of the photos in my albums were taken with this ring light except for the Lycaste aromatica, Lepanthes zamorensis and the Pleurothallis truncata.

A ringlite used as fillin flash outdoors gives excellent results, I use it on most of my photography when not using my light tent.

I don't like hash shadows and extraneous highlights on my flowers, it tends to detract, and the eye is drawn to those anomalies.

I use a canon 40D with 100mm Macro and Macro ringlite.
