I love photography. I use to take lots of photo of my fish but they are old news now. I must say photographing Plants is a lot easier then fish. Photography has been a hobby of mine for years. I have gotten into Flash photography more this year. It has open up a whole new world for me. I don't what too me so long to get a nice flash.

Anyways. Here are some orchids I did photo shoots with. HAHA orchid photo shoots.

What kind of fish?! Sorry... I grew up in a house full of fish tanks. I would be full of happiness if I could live in a house filled with aquariums of fish and orchids.
I knew so much about different fish names that Uncle Bills told me I should work their when I was in middle school (of course they meant when I was old enough.)
I had both saltwater and freshwater. My favorites are catfish (no... Not to eat..) and also cichlids! I had both South American cichlids, and African cichlids, Different tanks.
In salt water, I love trigger fish, angel fish, eels, tangs, blenny+goby, clownfish and some others.
I never had the patients to take pictures of moving fish.. At least not for long.

Oh yeah, nice orchids and fishies btw

I bred betta fish for a little tiny bit. I have been keeping South american Cichlids for some time now. I have 100Gal tank with 4 6" Silver dollars, 8" Uaru, 7" pictus Cat, and a delhezi bichir. My Uaru is over 4 years old. I have kept many other cichlids. I have a 80 Gal planted tank that use to have discus years ago. Now I switched to Angel fish.
Here are my tanks.

I use to keep Fresh water Shrimp too Tiger Shrimp and Cherry shrimp.

My 100Gal a few years ago.

Nice fish and setups!
Excuse me if I make an error.. It has been years since I was involved with fish and such
I don't blame you about the discus switch! I wasn't allow to have any. (Both expensive and probably too fussy for me to take care of.) I had an angelfish tank. There was some calico ones, striped ones, and some nice black lace angels.

I had Oscars, several small Jack Dempsey, a red devil, a couple different severums. Severums were the closest thing I could get that looked like discus
I had a piranha tank. 30-50 gal long? I had 3 at one point.

African cichlids..I had many different types. I had several frontosa (bump heads), peacock cichlids, some typical ones, brichardi and we even bred yellow vertically striped ones. I think they were from Lake Victoria.

Catfish.. So many..
Plecos: royal, zebra, clown, vampire, gold nugget, green & blue phantoms, snowball, bristlenose types.. And more I don't remember.
Synodontis- I had many of these, corydoras
I had a 125 or a 150 gal tank with a relatively small redtail catfish. I even had a baby shovel nose redtail hybrid in another tank. Shovel noses and redtails are huge pigs. It's fun to watch them eat!
*Of course I didn't have all of these at the same time.

Very nice pictures and tank. You are very good.
When I was younger, I had many different types of fish but I only have the one goldfish now (will be getting a second one) in a twenty-gallon tub water garden. I came to love goldfish when I had the pond.

When people mention hybridizing orchids, I think of little pots of orchids...all over the house, then the fun of finding homes for hundreds of little orchids. I am guessing you understand since you bred Bettas. Those hundreds of gallon jars.... Once was enough for me. :|

---------- Post added at 06:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:30 PM ----------

To clarify, I just had the easy, common fish. Guppies, swordfish, mollies, etc.
Then the Betta fish (in tanks) and goldfish (we had a pond) when the kids were little and, now, just goldfish (usually two but we lost one last week).
