Thieves and Strippers! Male
Wink Thieves and Strippers!

These were taken a bit ago but thought you'd still get a kick out of them.
I caught the little buggers that were making my Anselia (and other stuff) look ... look ... Nekkid!
There she was merrily tearing off the stuff she needed to set up her little nest, not only that she had a "guard" too that made sure she wasn't disturbed while stripping my plants naked.

BUSTED!!

At least she was kind enough to eat a critter that was crawling on my plants.

I hope that they were able to raise many many babies and lived a long, happy and glorious life.

Little Finches! I love birds around my house almost as much as I love being surrounded by orchids. They supply the song while the orchids supply the beauty and fragrance..... nice pics. kiki-do

Great shots, nice and crisp. If you don't mind me asking what kind of camera and lens did you use for the these shoots.

Got my attention Love birds... all of them .
I had a house finch that hung out in the yard for 5 years her name was Big Mouth I found her on a burning hot summer day laying on the patio , naked little thing could not get her back to the nest . hand fed her and let her go when old enough . I would call her she would come and wait for a treat , but not land on me . Thanks for sharing the sweet pictures . Gin

Nikon USA: COOLPIX 5700

I got it because of the Macro capability it has and the only thing that I do not like about it is that the focus is just too slow for any decent "action" shots ... I have to get extremely lucky.

Gin, I too love birds of all sorts (have four of the little buggers living with me) {Ok, maybe not so little, but for sure Buggers} and take every chance I get to take pictures of them be it on one of my walks or just putsing around in the yard.
I find them amazing, plain and simple.
