New Camera and Macro Lens for Christman Female
Default New Camera and Macro Lens for Christmas

My wonderful Husband gave me a new camera for Christmas - a Cannon T3i and a Macro Lens (ef 100 MM f/2.8 Macro). I also got a tripod and remote shutter trigger.

So I've been trying it all out. Below are my first orchid pictures. (the very first picture was of my husband!)

Still lots of learn! (but not bad for my first time out )

Carrie, I'm glad Santa brought what was promised:-))) Great set, you will have a lot of fun with it! It is always tricky to figure out at the beginning what settings to use for macro, so play with it:-) The remote and tripod is really useful when doing macro. Very nice pics!

Congratulations, love the one of the kingianum flower. A 100mm macro is a great lens for orchid shots, that's what we use for all the small flowers.

I got a 100mm lens for my Canon XTi and a Bogen (Manfrotto) tripod. That tripod is solid as a rock! I also got a Macro rail which is pretty handy on the tripod
