Got my first Macro Lens
Nikkor 60mm Micro f/2.8D AF.
So far, I really like it. But I have nor frame of reference for these lenses, so I might be impressed with something that is really not all that impressive to you guys.
Here are some photos I took to get some practice. I like how I am finally able to take photos of my tiny Calypogeja liverwort. Its literrally 1mm wide and 3-4mm long.
And I can practically see the cells on this Dendrobium leaf.
Also posted in pleuorthallid forum Platystele and Ophidion flowers.

The grass is actually a moss and the moss is the liverwort. No actual grass in this picture.

I'm sure you'll find that lens very useful. I have a Nikon camera with Nikkor lenses also. I think they're great. There's always lots to learn though. I'm still experimenting with different types of light and with depth of field. I'm sure you're going to have fun experimenting with your new lens.

Cool, great pics and I'm sure you'll love it. A macro lens was my first reason to get an SLR.

Thanks guys, there is a learning curve for sure. From the first night playing with it to yesterday I had a big improvement in quality. Got to play with it today again.
