A Really Unusual Wildflower

It is really unique, isn't it? Actually the whole family is interesting. Here's another one they call the Yellow Rattle or Little Rattlebox and also one called Wood Betony:

I do too, but it's one I've only seen a couple times.

Well, the pink one is the only one I've ever seen in my life. and I was in the Glacier National Park for almost a week!

Here's another Pedicularis, even rarer, the Bird's-beak Lousewort. I saw it for the first time this summer at Silver Lake in the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness.

Lovely, Ron, and your usual excellent photography! I like Pedicularis. We've seen several beautiful species while botanizing in Colorado, including P. groenlandica, but have never run across that one. We are Pedicularis challenged here with only the common lousewort, P. canadensis, here.
