I haven't made it to digital...thought about it and just don't have the time to learn all the buttons and menus - so this is where I put my money - a second Contax RTS II with auto-winder and the prize - a German Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 70-210 3.5 macro-telephoto. It has macro capability throughout the entire range. Here are some examples shot Feb. 11th at New Hampshire Orchid Society Show in Nashua, NH

Great photos!! I think I like the kovachii close up the best, it's beautiful!
The age of film seems so distant now, but I went digital only 5 years ago. I do miss the thrill of opening a pack of freshly developed photos to discover what they look like.

Thanks folks...I can no longer obtain my favorite film which is Fuji Reala ASA100...I bought so FujiPro 160 but it was made primarily for studio portrait photography and I have to add contrast, so I primarily shoot Fujicolor 200 ASA. When I have film developed I get a photo CD then upload and "tweak" them in my little photo program. My photostream is: golforchid's photosets on Flickr

That Paintbrush Phal is gorgeous!! Never seen something like that.
I was too busy photographing to write down all the names...think it was exhibited by the Orchidphile (Carrie Raven-Reinemann?) She is on Facebook and can be contacted for a listing of the Phals she offers
It must be one of those new Taiwan hybrids, there's a lot of Phals with such markings starting to appear on the market, but they're still hard to find.

I love film photography. I'm lucky enough to have a Leica IIf, which is by far the most difficult camera I've ever used, but it's amazing! Very nice photos. I've never tried color film, but it looks good.
