Batch conversion of Images

Hi Guys,
I have lots of photographs from south Asian trip and need to convert them to smaller sizes before I post them on O.B.site.
It is difficult for me to convert to small jpeg individually, need some advise about how to go about the batch conversion.

Thank you I do know about Irfanveiw but did not know it could be used for batch conversion of images.

I use Photoshop Elements for batch conversions. I also have CS3, but I've learned how to do it with Elements and it's straightforward. I use Irfan to view some old photo file formats that I can't view with newer programs for some reason.
Are you planning to post your pictures? I would like to know which program you use and how well it works for you.
