Hi Guys,
Presently I am using my new zoom 28m.mm-70 m.m. usm lens, when I set the lens at 70 m.m. and try to focus the subject, it appears to be for away also can not frame the subject.
Can some one tell me is some thing wrong with me or the lens?
regards
veekay

Some zooms do not focus as close at the long end of the zoom range.
When you say that you cannot frame the subject, do you mean that you can't get all of it in the frame? If that is so, try using the medium or short focal length.
What is the camera you are using, and is it digital or film?

I'm not clear on what you are saying. If you can't get it all in the frame, how can it appear far away? As Connie said, sometimes, if you are zoomed in too close your auto-focus will not work. What are you trying to take a picture of? If it is a close-up of a flower, you may want to set the camera to 'close-up' mode if it has one. I never use the auto settings, but until you know how to use the manual and semi-manual ones, the auto settings should work OK for you.
