Mostly angles, Tindo, but I also used a penlight to highlight the flowers and took the second picture in a pitch dark room with a flashlight as the only lighting.

Yea, I was going to ask how you got the highlight on the flower and no light on the background. Very nice work! I think I will use that trick. hehe.

Beautiful, Ron.... Real artwork. Thanks for sharing... you aren't going to share this with your son, are you??? You know he's younger and just might get more creative...

Wow Ron, very nice! Especially for 'just messing around' shots... I'll have to take some orchids into dark rooms and try this out myself.

Beautiful job there. In need to try different lighting techniques in general for both botanical and portrait photography.

May I suggest bumping up the level just a smidge to eliminate any vestige of background?
