Thanks for sharing your pictures. I especially like the butterfly shot. I have a butterfly garden and usually only see Monarchs and Swallowtails with red/orange markings. The blue markings are just beautiful.

thanks lorraine! it got first place at a photo club competition! i have no idea what kind of butterfly it is. but i dont do anything or grow anything to attract them. infact, i dont really see many

The composition of 1 and 7 really strikes my attention.

i dont know what you mean by posterize, but i do print them out. ive gotten some bigger sizes but usually not larger than 11x14

im glad everyone likes them! 7 is my favorite from that shoot.

nubers 6 and 7 have one first place at photo club competitions and number 8 got second

Posterization is when, through digital manipulation, you begin simplifying the color/shade gradient in an image. Like you can start with a normal image and then proceed to take it down to 10 colors or so. It is usually done to simply an image so that lines or vectors can be traced on it.

It's just that I noticed that in some of the pics you have, there is some color banding that has occurred. It could sometimes be accidental as well, as a file is being transferred around.
