The Harlequin - One big clown! Male
Default The Harlequin - One big clown!

I just found this one floating around in one of my Hard Drives. I shot it late last month. Right now it's totally spectacular and HUGE! 5 more blooms have opened and there is a new spike forming off of the latest spike. There are a total of three base spikes. Two of them are more than a year old!
This plant has leaves that are 14" long and the spikes are almost 2' long. The blooms are almost 4" in diameter and the spikes are a 1/4 inch thick. I need to get some sort of terra cotta pot to place this plant into. Not repotting it, just putting the plastic pot into something heavier so that it doesn't fall over!

And a Bee in a Crocus, because I like bees...

You know, I don't. I don't really have a background large enought to support it in any kind of decent image. I'll see what I can do about getting a shot of it. I must be doing something right with this plant, it just keeps growing and growing. After the blooms fade in a month or so I'm sure I'll get more new leaves. I think it has 7 or 8 leaves on it now.
