a few sunset pics.............
Snapped a few pictures the other day as I was standing on my balconey. I've had this little inexpensive camera for a number of years. Takes some pretty decent shots for something that is no where near top of the line (or even middle of the line for that matter ). It still catches me off guard once in a while, however, just how different the pictures can be from what my eyes see. Perhaps with a higher quality camera this wouldn't be such an issue? I don't recall having such issues with my old Canon slr. Ah well, everything has its pluses and minuses, eh?
This first one -- the flash went off. Apparently the camera thought it was dark enough to need one. Needless to say the flash was ineffective in lighting up the clouds. The result was a dark, somewhat ominous sky. I rather liked the effect.
Here's the next shot with no flash. But it came out a bit lighter than 'reality'.
With just a tiny bit of 'tweaking' -- this is closer to how the sky actually appeared.
A short time later

Just beautiful! I'm a sucker for sunset shots. With their everchanging beauty you can never snap just one.

It looks as if the sky is on fire!! I just love sunsets. We get beautiful ones standing in the front of our house. I stand out there until the sun goes completely down, snapping away at the sky. I'm sure the people around here think I'm insane. I'm still trying to get that perfect picture of the moon, so that doesn't help my case at all. Taking pictures in the dark.
