Default Moon and evening star

Hi Guys,
a few minutes ago I observed a unique picture of the moon and evening star and I thought of sharing this image with you.
This photograph was taken around 7.30 P.M. with Sony Cyber Shot Camera.

Well I noticed the same thing and had to take a picture too! Actually it is the second night crescent moon and Venus. What makes this a little special is that Venus is at it's brightest of the year. I used a Canon A720 point and shoot around 6:30 pm

Nice shots! I saw this too, but my Nikon Coolpix S550 just couldn't quite cut it. I wish I had my SLR with me! I'll have to bring it to school when I come back after spring break.

Thanks for the pics. The sky was clear here in San Francisco and we got a good view of it out the back window.

Interesting views of the same shot, with the star on the left in one pic and on the right in the other.

Wonderful pictures! I used to stare out the car window at night on long road trips just watching the sky. So beautiful and mesmerizing.

I saw that on Thursday night. I was running for my class and didn't have my camera with me. I regreted not taking that. It was sort of surreal. In my case, Venus was directly above the crescent moon. Beautiful!!
