Your friend is lucky because there's nothing more adorable than a Corgi puppy.....that's my opinion anyway. They are especially sweet little "Munchkins" and they never outgrow their charm. It's not just their looks, because a Corgi's intelligence has been compared to that of a 5 year old child. They're kind of like a Shepard with short legs and no tails.
I just love my babies
, but having sung their praises I feel it is my responsiblity to the breed to inform prospective owners about some of their personality traits. Hopefully this will prevent a few Corgis from winding up in rescue or humane shelters or worse. THEY ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES WITH SMALL CHILDREN. They are herding dogs and will instinctively circle and nip at the ankles of small children in order to round them up. They are a very active, strong-willed breed and will try to train you instead of the other way around, and they can become persistant barkers.
Here are a few more photos. The first is a "Butt in the Bush" ....then we have "Camera Shy Roxy" and last "Jealousy Results In A Nip On The Neck". As you can tell by the photos, Roxy likes to eat.
