My only worry about Bella was that she would be very excited and curious, and that her exuberance would be too much for Mahina (Bella was fine with my previous cat, Jack)- but Bella was even better than I expected, and contained her curiousity - especially after Mahina walked up to her and hissed, even tho Bella was quietly lying down

So, I had expected for things to take longer between them (keeping them separate, with short supervised meetings), but it actually went quickly and easily!

Hehe - I can relate to that feeling.

i'm very happy about how quickly Mahina has become comfortable with Bella - I think she'd even like to play with Bella some, but Bella has had "leave the kitty alone" so ingrained, she ignores Mahina's attempts to play.

Yeah -- she has been interested in the orchids, and has made a few attempts at nibbling them, so I am keeping an eye on things there!
