I probably had a touching scene like that on my front lawn last year. I know for certain I used to have a witch-hazel there......

I love baby season. Except for when my dogs get a baby rabbit.

I had a dog bring me a very young fawn. Luckily the dog hadn't hurt it and it was able to reunite with it's mother.

Good dog. Richter usually brings them to us but they are usually harmed and then we have to do the poor little things in. I hate it

Unfortunately they can't just shed their basic instincts

What a lovely pair!

Dogs can be trained. We had a West Highland Terrier that killed everything her size or smaller that entered the yard...except for birds and bunnies. We had a pet rabbit and birds at the time and I had trained her not to hurt them when they were loose. It takes quite a bit of work, though.

I used to have a dog that would find and bring back box turtles. I would give her a piece of cheese as a reward. If my current dog brought me deer I'd give him a pound of bacon per!

Yes! As long as I see the dogs taking off after a squirrel or deer and call them to stay they stop dead in their tracks. Its when I'm smoking a cigarette, playing on my phone, and just generally not paying attention so I don't notice they've quietly taken off that they end up 2 miles away. Luckily they've trained me to pay pretty close attention
