Lilly Male
Default Lilly

I watch Lilly for Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue. She is 12 now. She came to us at age 8 when her owner said he just didn't want Lilly nor her daughter any more. Lilly leaks occasionally, even on medicine, so we have not been able to adopt her. My floor is all Mexican saltillo tile so I don't mind a little mess once in a while. Plus Lilly is the most wonderful, happy and friendly dog you will ever meet. She has mothered my own two Giant Schnauzer boys since they were puppies. They are 4 years old now. She pushes them down and cleans their faces. If they try to get up and leave, she growls at them and pushes them down again.

Oh, she sounds like a great lady
I cant understand people just saying they cant have their pets anymore
For me they become members of the family.

I'm sure she likes it at your place, and bet your dogs enjoys it aswell

What a good 'mama' she is!

Gosh, I love dogs! They truly bring so much joy.

Awww, what an adorably sweet face! She was born to be a Mama and I bet she still misses her daughter. Your boys are a pushover for her. You are a treasure for loving her.

Dogs are my favorite four legged creatures. I have dogs, have always had dogs in my life. My oldest poodle I ever had lived to be 17 yrs old & got to travel through all of the lower 48 states & 2 Canadian provinces with us on the truck. I had 3 toy poodles & a shih tzu as my sidekicks. One toy poodle was my Mom's I inhereted after she died. He was 14 when he began his travels & lived to 16 yrs when he finished his journey.

She is beautiful! I think Giant Schnauzers are awesome.

We lost our 14 yo Newfie boy Christmas weekend and while we aren't yet ready to bring another pup into the house...the GS is one of the front runners as our next furry kid. The three that we've been discussing are English Mastiff, GS, and Irish Wolfhound.

Thanks for sharing your sweet girl. I'd love to see pics of the boys too.

You're a good man and am sure she knows it. Ridiculous that you can't give her a permanent home but things may work out for both of you I hope. Pets and plants together don't get much better!

Aw she is so cute. You can't get rid of her now you have had her to long. I have never been around a giant Schnauzer but I think they are cool. I vote you keep her.

When I was looking for a bigger dog after I lost one of my Basset hounds I found an add that was a Giant Schnauzer / Irish Wolfhound mix, how cool would that have been. I ended up with my Marlo a Bull Mastiff.
