3 Troublemakers
Here are my three rescues:
Balthazar, my buddy who is now around 8:
Ursa, the former Rez dog with some anxiety issues, but the sweetest girl in the world, around 4 now:
And the latest addition (as of Friday), Rascal, around 1:
The dogs pretty much set the pace for the household:
And all of them are quite food motivated:
Ursa is currently stressed out about the addition, but fingers crossed that she settles down and realizes it's nice to have a little lady to play with.

Very cute pups. I hope it will all go well soon, it always takes some time for things to settle down.

Kudos to you for taking on rescues, sometimes not the easiest but I'm sure very rewarding. Rascal does look like she's planning something.

3 Troublemakers
Oh, we couldn't go any other way - when you find the right rescue dog, the rewards far outweigh any issues you have to work through, and there's nothing like that little face saying 'thank you' every day.
When we first got Ursa she wouldn't willingly leave her crate for days, and the only way we could tell she was warming up to us was a quiet "thump, thump, thump" every time we went near the crate. Now, two years later, she still has anxiety about new situations and car rides, but we just recently went on our first backpacking trip with her off leash, and she was a model canine citizen! She also does not hesitate to flip on her back and request tummy rubs, wiggling and flopping around if you stop too soon.
I'm sure you're right, PaphMadMan, Rascal is planning something. Right now she's my well behaved little shadow, but my husband and I both see a twinkle in her eyes that we are sure means mischief, hence the name. I'm sure she'll get the other two involved as well (although if it involves stealing food, there's not much she could possibly teach them).
