Asking for Perfect Puppy Mojo!!
So, I have been on a waiting list for a puppy from a Lab breeder I admire for over a year. She had some tragedies happen when these pups were born and now, when she was fairly sure she had a pup for me this time, things went sideways. She had bred both of her girls at the same time and one of the breedings did not take. To make a long story short, she ended up having 18 people on her list and now has only six pups, but is having to keep two for herself for her breeding program. There are two folks getting pups for sure, who have been waiting longer than I have, but I am waiting for a particular personality. I need a really mellow puppy. She is doing temperament evaluations this week and will let me know soon.
I should, in theory, find out if one of the pups is mine sometime this week and I am half excited and half scared to death.
I could use some good thoughts that our puppy is in this litter, otherwise, I will be waiting for at least another year for our pup.
Thanks!

I have been wondering how things had come out. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm not sure which one you should wish for as if you do get your new puppy then I think we all know what you are in for. Some less that stellar nights....hehehehehhe........good luck.

The wonderful thing about this breeder, is that she has already started potty training these pups. At six weeks old, they were already learning to retrieve and had their first car ride and went to the vet's office and are socialized with many different kinds of people. They should be pretty close to housebroken before they come home!

She really is, I'm not use to one so small. I have only been around her once but we will be shearing soon and so I will be seeing her again. She was already a little terror so I'll bet she is much more now.

We have a miniature, miniature long-haired dachshund - a rescue dog. We've "fattened him up" since we got him 2 years ago, and now Hobbes weighs 10 lbs.
Of the couple of dozen cats we've had over the years, I think most were far bigger than that!
