Default Kitty in the Orchids

I found our Balinese mix in my orchids tonight and managed to snap this pic of him. He came to us with the name Mr. Jingles, but he was renamed Sasquatch for his furriness and 6-toed paws. We still call him by his original name when he is acting silly.

He is about 7 years old, very vocal and loves to be petted and snuggled, although occasionally he will snag you with a claw or tooth when he's feeling a bit rambunctious.

Very fuzzy and cuddly and always has a rather alarmed look on his face. He's a bit cross-eyed, although his eyes are a pretty blue color. Loves to be brushed and pampered, and always seeks out human companionship. Not usually afraid of strangers. He likes to sit in laps or right next to someone, or at arm's length at the farthest.

He's a drooler, too. Before him I never knew cats could be like this, but something about being petted triggers something in his brain. As soon as you start to rub on him, his mouth starts dripping. It can be a bit much when he drools on your hands or in your lap.

He's also an accomplished hunter and has done in a fair number of small rodents, both inside and out, often with grisly leftovers put out on prominent display.

He's a sweet kitty when he wants to be but he has his strong-willed moments, for sure. I still find him hard to read, even after having him for years.

OOOOHHHH what a gorgeous kitty. Love the photo! We had a Balinese who was also a bit cross-eyed. She was the most wonderful, loving kitty and never bothered our plants. Our current kitty is a Birman, who is a strong-willed rascal and has put one tooth mark on every orchid he can get to. LOL

What a handsome guy!

Looks like he's saying....Yes I'm in your orchids, but don't worry, I didn't eat any.....this time.

Not only are your plants a feast for the eyes but your gatekeeper is magnificent! Wish I lived closer and I'd babysit all for you!

Sasquatch is a handsome fellow. I used to have a drooler too. As soon as she went into heavy duty purr mode she started dripping. But that was far from the strangest thing about her. She was the only cat I've ever seen eat fruit. I could not leave grapes or apricots where she could get them, and as soon as you peeled a banana she came running like most cats do for tuna.

He's lovely. I like Mr, Jingles sorry like that name. I had a cat that drooled too. Wish I wasn't allergic to them.

Gorgeous cat and plants. Strange that in all the cats we have had in our lives, we haven't encountered a drooler. We have 3 at the moment but only one eats orchids.

Sasquatch hasn't bothered any of the plants so far as I can tell. It was the first time I had even seen him up on the table with them which is why I snapped the pic.

He manages to get himself in trouble in other ways, though I'll leave out the details!
