Meet Athena
We sort of got snookered into taking in another cat. She is sweet and affectionate, but she has a thing for orchids.

Awwwww...she's beautiful.
Good luck keeping her away from the plants. Our old boy who passed last year was an orchid/plant eater his whole life and the only way to keep the plants safe was to make sure he couldn't get to them. As you know, that can be very tricky when it comes to a cat. I used to have to wrap the orchid shelves in mesh type fabric that allowed air and light in but not kitty. It was kind of a PITA but I'd do it again (in a heartbeat!) if it meant our little ornery boy didn't have to get old and sick and leave us.
You'll figure it out...I'm sure she's worth a little extra work.

I have a friend who was planning to open an orchid shop. She went away for a weekend and her cat got so mad at her that it destroyed every one of her orchids.

She's beautiful. I love white cats, I have had 3 different ones, one had a bob tail and was deaf. Very strange cat.
Did she get a spanking for eating the orchid, heheheh.

Aww , that's great! She's very pretty!
My kitty, Jack, used to not bother my plants, but has developed a taste for the orchid flowers, and foliage off some others (Christmas cactus? Really???)

What a beautiful cat!
One of my dogs has gotten every Ti plant I ever tried to grow and the other will occasionally destroy a couple of orchids. :|

A lot of white cats are deaf. If she doesn't "listen" to you, be aware of this. She's either deaf or a typical cat.
Mine don't eat orchids. They go outside to eat grass, then come in and throw it up on the floor.

She is not deaf. She is just a feline, a female and very independent, thank you very much!
She is also a lap kitty, with a purr that rivals a Boing 747.
