I love these agile sun-loving reptiles in my garden. I gave them places where they can live, hibernate, hunt, lay in the sun and hide away in case of danger. They are curious, so all slick pots and containers need a board or stone to get off, when they jumped in. Most important is crumbly soil covered with plastic or a stone to deposit eggs. Now hatchlings can be observed. When you move slowly, they loose their shyness and become confiding. After my garden work they regularly come out and control what I've done. I'm sure they know me.

Great shots!! I LOVE little lizards!

The last 2...w/the darker spotty skin...are those the hatchlings?

The last two photos show an adult male. Hatchlings are more timid - they have to learn not to run away from humans. Maybe with more patience and a telephoto lens I can lie in waiting in the next days and take hatchling pictures.
