I sent Jazzmin to rainbow bridge yesterday. She was nearly 14 years old. I adopted her when she was 11, from a family that had lost their house in the economic downturn. They placed her with a family member that promised to love her, then six months later, found out that she had been dumped in the back yard and was sick and needed veterinary care. So they posted an ad on Craigslist and my friend happened to be suffering from insomnia that night and sent me the link to their post.
Jazz came home with me two weeks later. She was 11 years old.
She was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2012. They told me it was lymphoma and that she had six months, on the outside. She fought for 18 months before she finally told me she was ready to go to rainbow bridge. Not even cancer was going to stop her from being the best dog in the whole world. It was truly an honor, to be her mom.
Anyway... I just had to share.
Run free Jazz. I love you sweet lady.
