Default Gone to Rainbow Bridge

I sent Jazzmin to rainbow bridge yesterday. She was nearly 14 years old. I adopted her when she was 11, from a family that had lost their house in the economic downturn. They placed her with a family member that promised to love her, then six months later, found out that she had been dumped in the back yard and was sick and needed veterinary care. So they posted an ad on Craigslist and my friend happened to be suffering from insomnia that night and sent me the link to their post.

Jazz came home with me two weeks later. She was 11 years old.

She was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2012. They told me it was lymphoma and that she had six months, on the outside. She fought for 18 months before she finally told me she was ready to go to rainbow bridge. Not even cancer was going to stop her from being the best dog in the whole world. It was truly an honor, to be her mom.

Anyway... I just had to share.

Run free Jazz. I love you sweet lady.

Very sorry for your loss. Good on you to give her a good home and know when it was time. That is one of the sweetest pictures I have seen. That's a very happy, content girl.

Very sorry for your loss. I have 3 older dogs too. Adopting an older dog, as you did, is a great kindness. Thank you for giving her a good life in her last years!

Your post brought me to tears. I know the pain of losing a beloved pet. Your Jazzmin was very fortunate to have your loving home in the last years of her life. RIP, Jazz.

So very sorry. She was blessed to find someone to love her in her time of need and you stayed to the end. She will always be looking down at you smiling for that.
